H2S Alive


This one day course is intended for all workers in the petroleum industry who could be exposed to hydrogen sulphide (H2S).

The course covers: 
- the physical properties and health and safety hazards of H2S
- how to protect oneself and basic rescue techniques
- basic information on monitoring and detection of H2S  

Students are required to operate self-contained, and/or supplied-air breathing apparatus, (both SCBA & SABA) detector tube devices, and perform rescue breathing on a mannequin.

It is suggested to have long sleeve shirts, jeans, or coveralls for the practical exercises.

This is an industry standard certificate that is issued by Petroleum Industry Training Services upon successful completion of course valid for three (3) years.
