This course is designed for those individuals who will be involved in the investigation process within an organization or company.

The purpose of an investigation is to uncover the direct and indirect causes if the incident/accident or near miss in an attempt to prevent a re-occurrence in the future. It also helps measure the effectiveness of a companies safety program.

The training consists of interpretation of the legislation, initial response, collecting evidence and information, analysis and correction techniques, and the reporting structure.

Objectives

Participant will be able to:
- Respond to an incident/accident or near miss and properly control the scene
- Conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause(s)
- Make recommendations for corrective actions to prevent any re-occurrences
- Complete an accurate and useful report
- Make recommendations that will assist in improving the health, safety, and environmental management approach


Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a certificate in recognition of this achievement.
